Ectopic Molar Pregnancy with Coexistent Normal Intrauterine Pregnancy: A Report of an Unusual Diagnosis managed in Yaoundé Gyneco-Obstetric and Pediatric Hospital, Cameroon

Background: Heterotopic pregnancy is a very rare event in natural cycle. Its incidence rising mostly due to induction of ovulation or Assisted Reproductive Technique. Most ectopic heterotopic pregnancies are localized the fallopian tubes. The occurrence molar tubal coexisting with intrauterine uncommon and consequently not often considered diagnostic possibility. Case Report: We report case 25-year-old woman, gravida 4 para 1, who complained vaginal spotting lower abdominal pain after 6 weeks amenorrhea following clomiphene citrate ovarian stimulation. Transvaginal Ultrasonography revealed an unruptured left pregnancy. She underwent successful laparoscopic salpingectomy while intra-uterine was allowed continue. tissue histology reported partial subsequently had normal delivery at 39 3 days her follow-up uneventful. Conclusion: but life-threatening condition. It should be suspected pregnant woman risk factor multiple gestations presents bleeding context early Laparoscopic surgery effective for confirming diagnosis treating component. Routine histological examination specimens must taken seriously because some findings like may require specific management.
